Gaited Horsemanship Lessons

  Participants must be at least 8 years of age and/or be able to show concentration when being given directions.

  Lessons and horses available for all experience levels: from the ultimate beginner and up. 

  Participants are instructed at their own individual speed and ability level. 

  Participants will learn techniques for: saddling, bridling, bitting, proper mounting technique, conformation, reading signs of equine behavior and more. 

  Lessons promote self-confidence, build trust in the rider as well as the horse, pride in their improving riding skills, balance, and muscle tone for riding. 

  Lessons are designed to teach gaited equitation, balance and confidence of rider. 

  Lessons are designed to educate participants on equine knowledge and respect through proper ground and mounted instruction.

  Participants will learn safe and proper ground handling, grooming, horse-sense, use for various types of tack, proper stable management, and horse health care. 

  Participants will learn how to ride with light contact and engage the horse with smoothness and consistency in gaits. 

  Western and some English riding offered.
(helmets are available or you may bring your own, over 16 may chose to sign waiver and ride without helmet) 

  Lessons given on smooth gaited horses.

  Lessons are offered/paid for in hourly sessions (most last a little longer), 
$25 kids(14& under)/ $30 adults an hour for one, or if you refer a friend $20/$25 when your friend signs up!
